Thursday Bits
Hair: FINALLY in the braids I’ve been dreaming about doing on my own little girl’s hair since I was a little girl!
Plans: Coffee at Sally’s, our lovely neighbor.
What’s better than a cup of coffee with a neighbor on a snowy day?
Plus – she has a piano and old wooden train by Community Playthings
from when her kids were little.
Breakfast: Blueberry Muffins in snowman wrappers. It’s the little things:)
Blankets: {What feels like}Every one we own on the floor in a nest with her baby.
Other New Fun: Ideas from are so happy’s un-toy post.
The Laundry Mountain: Conquered! It’s always amazing how much less daunting it seems
when you separate the towels and sheets and sort the rest into colors. I’ve been trying to do
at least one load daily – it’s amazing how it backs up when you skip 4 days!
Icicles: CRAZY!!!
A Snow Slide: “The best slide inna whole world!!”
Dancing: On top of a mountain of snow.
Snowballs: Thrown by big sister and much more giggle(and drool)-inducing than they may be in years to come.
Nap: Leaning against me on the couch.
Snack: Snow Cream
Reading with a cup of tea: This ebook/article, The Wisdom of Play
Dinner: Hoagies from John’s mom that she bought at work when someone was selling them for their children. Healthy? No. But – seriously – you know those hoagies/subs/whateveryoucallthem are the BEST.
Mood: Content. I don’t fully understand the peace that has surrounded us lately – especially me. It’s been so long since I allowed myself to feel it and I am so grateful to be in a place to feel it.
