Books

July 15, 2010

At the Farmer’s Market this week, I decided to venture out a bit. They have a whole area that’s a flea market with tons and tons of vintage finds, but I always stay away knowing it’ll probably suck me in like a black hole. The black hole sucked me in this week – and it was fantastic. I somehow managed to hold myself back from the Pyrex mixing bowls(but only because I didn’t love the colors). I skipped from the pretty blue mason jars(but I decided I’m going back for them next week.)

But when I saw all of these books, I just couldn’t resist. $2 total for so many fantastic children’s books. {And, just for the record, can I please admit out loud how much that picture with him pulling my leg says that I’d rather not admit?}

A few of my favorites:

And the absolute favorite that hasn’t been closed in days:

I’m definitely going back next week. Definitely.

p.s. Completely unrelated, but if you haven’t check out the habit blog or joined the habit flickr pool, you might like them. I’ve been spending hours poring over the glimpses into everyday and reading the thoughtful words on bits of everyday life.

    Oh I am so jealous!!!! I love vintage books, but I feel really weird calling some of those “vintage” when they are books I read as a child. What a wonderful treasure!!

    And YES – go back and get those blue mason jars.
