Faces
As we slowly(very slowly) work our way through our house with decorating, I keep adding projects to my list. At the top of my list to accomplish before it gets even warmer, and most of our efforts are focused outside, is a wall of photos. Well, a few walls, but this one specifically in the family room. I also want to do the staircase and one in our bedroom, but one project at a time…
I planned to just use it as an excuse to finally get a ton of my favorites photos printed, but when I started looking through them all I focused a bit more – on faces.

They’re some of my favorite. They don’t necessarily capture our everyday moments, but it was amazing to start sorting through pictures to create a Flickr set and see how many different faces of my little loves I’ve captured over the past few months. So instead of just favorite photos (which may just happen elsewhere), I’m going to focus on our very favorite up close shots. Maybe even get a few more to add.

If you’re thinking of a wall gallery, too, here are a few places with great ideas, tutorials and info on hanging:
- The Hallway Full Monty at Young House Love – I love the variety of artwork and mixture of textures and photos.
- Gallery Wall at Brooklyn Limestone – I love it behind the tv and the sizes she chose to fit the scale and blend with the tv.
- Another Take on the Gallery Wall at Roost – Step by step foolproof instructions. Definitely think I might go this route to avoid extra holes.
- Playroom Art Gallery Wall at Centsational Girl – so fun and a great idea that is giving me ideas for a small space at the top of our stairs.

I love the idea of faces pictures as wall art – I am planning on doing the same things for my two kids who are going to share a room soon (they happen to be the same age and gender as yours). I really enjoy your blog and cried at the post about your son’s birthday! So sweet – your kids are lucky to have such a mother!
That last one of Amelia is just breathtaking. You’re amazing. Miss you.
