After the Strawberries

Strawberry Lemonade on a hot afternoon.
From about a month ago on a crazy hot May day just when the strawberries were starting.
They’re all done now, but we aren’t crying too much – the raspberry and blueberry love abounds!
So glad that summer is here!

Oh, sounds and looks delicious!
I never had home made strawberry lemonade…do you make it with fruit juice, water and sugar, just like “normal” lemon lemonade?
I added the sugar to the strawberries and mashed them up to make it syrupy, then squeezed the lemons and mixed the lemon juice + strawberries with sugar + water. So, yes, basically normal lemondae + crushed strawberries. YUM! I kind of want some now since it’s so hot:) If I make it again (we’re raspberry picking soon and probably will make more) I might puree the berries in a blender or food processor to make it less chunky. The mashed berries weren’t very pretty (hence why I didn’t post a picture of the actual strawberry lemonade!)
So I sense that you’re slightly obsessed with fresh produce like me. I look forward to picking my own produce like kids look forward to Christmas. Should have gotten the bigger deep freezer…
