First of all…I adore your blog! Not sure how I found it…I am a huge “blog surfer.” Anyway…I always feel a little creepy emailing somebody I never met before, yet know so much about.
(Just saying that sounded creepy…)
Oh well!
I am writing because I just love visiting your blog to look at your photographs. I would like to turn my camera to the manual setting and learn how to take pictures…but, don’t know where to start. I have a Canon Digital Rebel. I don’t have a lot of free time…Is there an online resource you used? Or a book…?
Anyway, any advice you could give me would be appreciated!
Hi Lillian! I saw your post about lightroom presets on Willette’s blog. I didn’t know how she would feel about me recommending some on her site, so I figured I would contact you here. My favorite all time presets for children are from http://olivejuiceshoppe.com/home/ The photopgrapher (also named Amy) is wonderful with warm tints and softness. I would check her out, she does have a sample set of presets for free that you can try out too! Hope that helps
Lillian, I love your blog so much. To watch your children grow up, to see through your eyes, to see your experiences, it fills my heart with so much joy, and I can not wait to be a parent myself. All of your pictures are perfect, simply amazing. I don’t know how you managed it while still being such a great mom! Keep up the great work!
So I had a quick look at your blog and saw all the beautifull pictures you have. I have a new born child and would like to take pictures with the same quality than yours. (My current is not so good). Could you please tell me which camera you are using ?
Hi Christelle, Thanks for coming over to visit! 95% of the time I shoot with either a Nikon D40 with a 35mm f/1.8 or a Nikon F100 with a 50mm f/1.8. You can buy both of those used right now for some serious deals since they’re old:) Good luck with getting some sweet newborn shots! Get your little one outside some time other than around noon or facing a window inside and practice tons!
I’d like to ask permission to use the photo of your spice rack book holders from your 12/30/2010 post in the new third edition of Montessori At Home! that I’m working on. That is such a cool idea! I always include credit and a link back, and would be happy to send you a complimentary copy of the eBook when it is finished.
