Fall Is In the Air
I say it with every season, but my favorite times are the times between seasons. I love the anticipation of things to come, the mild(ish) weather, looking forward to different clothes…
To me, Fall is:
-Our family’s first First Day of School – (Amelia is starting preschool)
-Sweaters and Jeans
-Looking forward to college football
-Pumpkin Picking and Apple Picking
-Pumpkin Spice Lattes at Starbucks(perhaps the official societal marker of the change of season?)
The winds are changing and the leaves are very subtly showing shades of yellows and reds around here. Just barely peeking through, but it’s there.
For now, we’re going to enjoy the end of summer…we still have our first official season of trying to can and freeze fresh produce, lots of outside water play, popsicles and grilling left. It’s just slowly fading and we want to take advantage of it as much as we can! In another month, it will be the first day of school and Heaven only knows it might take me that long to figure out her very first First Day of School Outfit!
