I’ve Got Nothing But a Leaf Today

July 7, 2010

I saw this leaf and it fascinated me. It was hot out, though. So I grabbed my camera and snapped these in a matter of about three minutes while the kids soaked themselves in the sprinkler in the 100 degree heat. Small window a/c units only stretch so far in heat like this. Don’t get me wrong, they make all the difference in the world, but it’s still hot as heck around here. I skipped pictures of the soaking because I ran back inside, set my camera down on the table and promptly ran outside to join the fun by sitting down and getting drenched head to toe in cold sprinkler water right in front of the sprinkler. It was heavenly.
