Weekend Bits

July 11, 2010

*A family Mystery Date, inspired by this fun idea. Hershey’s Chocolate World and the Red Robin I’ve been craving since we moved back to PA from CO almost 2 years ago(and how is it possible that it’s been that long?).

*Our first official tomato. John ate a few slices and Mia ate the rest like an apple. They ate so fast that I didn’t even get a taste, but I hear it was well worth the wait.

*Sun Brewed Iced Coffee. Recipe coming this week. You NEED to make this!

*Lovely flowers from card tables in front of houses along the road.

*Prepping for scrubbing off and repainting our new patio furniture – free, courtesy of the sweetest woman lives near my parents and put it out with her trash. I got to talk to her as I was figuring out how to get all of the pieces into my Pathfinder in one trip and she made me feel good about my dumpster diving. She was SO excited to hear that her furniture was going to a young family who really wanted some and just couldn’t justify the cost of new furniture right now. Now I just need to decide whether or not I’m going to go with white again and get all crazy and paint them a fun color…

*Our neighbors’ unreal hydrangea bushes. She’s never even done anything to them to change the color! I’m about 10 seconds away from working up the courage to ask if I can cut some so that I can stare at them inside all day long, too.

Hope your weekend was beautiful!

I love that furniture! Who actually buys wicker lawn furniture? I think we all have it because someone left it. I have to add my 2cents and say to stay with white. It’s sooo classic and looks sooo good in pictures against green grass!

We live about 45 minutes from Chocolate World and go there several times a year just to get a chocolate milkshake….and ride the chocolate ride of course!

I love the picture of the building…I always try and get just the sign…but your picture is amazing. Also like the one of your daughter in the air below the sign. Some people JUST know how to take pictures!! 🙂
