Anyone else worn out after this weekend?
Saturday was so full – I crashed before 9pm. My sister and I had a garage sale and, while the sale itself was kind of a bust, it was GREAT entertainment. It was at a local church and we figured it would be a good place to get some more traffic than a yard sale in our neighborhood, but the most traffic we got was with a whole lot of CRAZY. It was good for me – I needed all of that laughter more than I needed a few extra dollars in my pocket!
It was our town’s Community Day, so I came home to meet John and the kids and head to the parade that goes by a block from our house.
It was also the day to celebrate Gran’s birthday, so we grilled and had birthday cake and the girls headed to the Carnival at the park while the boys stayed home so that exhausted Nick could go to bed.
They went on the dragon spinning ride and the carousel first.
After that, she found the big bouncy obstacle course and slide and it was all over. She couldn’t get enough!
We walked home in the dark with a little one falling asleep on Gran’s shoulder and woke up to more festivities on Sunday – dinner and dessert at Grandma and Grandpa’s to celebrate Aunt Leah’s birthday.
I’m beat. We had tons of fun, but with all we’ve had going on, it feels so good to be back to Monday morning and our norm.
