Weekend Links and Bits and Pieces

February 26, 2011

:Reading this, this, this and this and loving them all.

:Thankful for the rain that lulled me to sleep, melted the snow and made it look like spring and let me take my kids for a walk under an umbrella and still get soaked jumping in puddles.

:Smiling thinking of how much it can make a 3-year old’s day to walk a block for grilled cheese sandwiches and french fries for lunch.

:Loving the rawness and honesty of this post – it feels like a breath of fresh air.

:In love with Sarah at Clover Lane all over again for this post.

:Astonished by how quickly it’s feeling like I don’t have a baby anymore. He spent most of a morning in undies, then we went for a walk without a stroller and he didn’t ask to be carried at all.

:Grateful to Aimee at Sprik Space for her adorable printables and her suggestion to print at FedEx Office. I was planning to print alphabet and number posters already for about $10 each and happy with that, but I wound up spending $11 total for birthday invitations using her blank banner template and 6 prints for the kids’ room and a few other spots around the house!

:Giving my own personal standing ovation to Melissa for this amazing post.

:Enjoying a relaxing day of aimless wandering to my favorite thrift stores, yummy lunch with a good book, yummy dinner on a date with my husband, ice cream sundaes and a good movie all while the kids have a sleepover with the in-laws.

:In love with my new kitchen and procrastinating scrubbing the heck out of the floor and painting the trim and hanging a shelf over the stove so that we can officially call it good.

Happy Weekend everyone!

I’m in love with your new kitchen too! It’s book worthy.🙂
Any day that involves rain and puddle jumping is an extra good day.
No more baby…I seriously do not know how I will feel once Sully’s out of diapers. That will make it so official. A bittersweet Mama moment.
I loved reading about the possibilities that lie ahead for your family in your previous posts. I cannot wait to see how it all plays out for you.
