Mud Baths and Warm Days

May 1, 2011

Instead of a sandbox, we have a dirt box.  The kids have turned one of our gardens into their play box and I’m not sure they’re going to be super happy when I tell them that next weekend it’s going to have seeds planted in there and they can’t play there anymore.  I thought about just leaving it as a play space for them, but we have a lot to plant and I want to use it, so they’ll get a real sandbox.

Recently: Baby greens from the garden.  Impromptu dinner outside with our favorite neighbor on her deck. Kids running around in nothing but undies. Hosing off the dirt. Leftover chocolate bunnies.  Flowers planted and peas growing. Hands in the mulch. Weeding with the sunshine on my back. Outside picnic table lunches.  Sitting on a blanket under a tree while the kids play. Windows open all day and night. The warmth is ever so slowly seeping in…

Your photos are always so great! Such talent! What program are you using for editing these days? Can’t believe how big your babies are getting! Is Nick potty trained already?!

Lightroom – I love it:) No, no – not potty trained. Just wearing undies over a diaper on a hot day to keep him from taking off his diaper during nap time. Hopefully this summer!
