Friday May 13
30 minute tantrums followed by breakthroughs with words. Donuts for breakfast, hands covered in icing followed by my me covered in icing (walking around in public – nice.) Littlest one taking a long afternoon nap and much-needed creative inspiration all afternoon while the oldest reads book and plays in the dirt and jumps on piles of outdoor cushions and I chop and dice prep for one of my favorite meals – Panzanella(recipe to follow.) Actually getting to dishes before late afternoon and washing and folding laundry before dinnertime. Sibling loving one another and sharing and playing happily. It was the kind of day I love most – a real day full of good and bad, but the balance heavily tipped toward the good, mostly because I chose early in the morning that we were going to have a good day. We did. It was a good day.
